Let’s break down our card types for minors:

Juvenile Semi-Restricted Card
The Cardholder may only be able to check out items in the Juvenile or Young Adult Collection in the library (Call numbers that begin with E, J, or YA).
The cardholder MAY NOT be able to check out items in the Adult Collection.
Juvenile Restricted Card
The Cardholder may only be able to check out items in the Juvenile Collection in the library (Call numbers that begin with E or J).
The cardholder MAY NOT be able to check out items in the Adult or Young Adult Collection.
Internet Access
You may choose whether or not your child/ward will be allowed access to the Internet in the Library unsupervised.
CloudLibrary
CloudLibrary is our ebook app that has a wide variety of ebooks and audiobooks. There is a kids version as well. If you allow access to CloudLibrary but have a Restricted card, your child/ward will still be restricted from checking out the Adult/Young Adult Collection on the CloudLibrary app.
You may change your restriction of choice for your child or ward at any time by filling out an application again.
We have this system because the Washington Parish Library is in compliance with Act 436.
